Commissioner’s Choice Awards

The Colorado Legacy Foundation hosts the annual Legacy Luncheon and Commissioner’s Choice Awards to recognize Colorado school districts and schools that apply best practices and get results.

2009
The second annual event in November 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Denver recognized 11 school districts and two schools. Click here to see award winners. Gov. Bill Ritter and Lt. Gov. Barbara O’Brien were among the distinguished speakers who addressed more than 400 attendees.

2008
The inaugural event in September 2008 at the Denver Center for Performing Arts recognized 39 award winners – Colorado schools that have closed achievement gaps. Gov. Bill Ritter and former Gov.
