Colorado Education Summits – March 2012
The Colorado Legacy Foundation (CLF) is pleased to highlight two upcoming events in March 2012: the Colorado Educator Effectiveness Summit: 191 Into Action on March 5, and the Colorado Standards Implementation Summit on March 6. To allow educators from across the state to easily participate and benefit from both events, both are scheduled at the Westin Hotel in Westminster, CO.
Monday, March 5, 2012: Colorado Educator Effectiveness Summit: 191 Into Action
This day-long event will give district teams the opportunity to engage in a productive conversation, learn from each other and the pilot districts on the effective use of evaluation tools and resources, and walk away with a draft or revision of each district’s SB 191 Implementation Plan. The session involves significant group collaboration for district teams.
Tuesday, March 6, 2012: Colorado Standards Implementation Summit: Transforming Standards Based Learning for Colorado
This day-long event will give district teams the opportunity to engage in a comprehensive and collaborative work session on the implementation of the Colorado Academic and English Language Proficiency Standards. District teams will receive knowledge and resources necessary to successfully implement standards, which will ensure Colorado’s students achieve post-secondary and workforce readiness.
In an effort to facilitate access to these events from districts across Colorado, CLF will be providing travel reimbursements to participating district teams. Additional details will follow soon.
