ELO Ignite Innovation Challenge
The 2013 Ignite Innovation Challenge finalists have been announced! Public voting will run from Feb. 25 – Mar. 25.
This online competition seeks Colorado’s most innovative approaches to personalized learning.
8 winners will be announced April 17th. Winners will be determined by a panel of judges as well as online votes. Judges include Lt. Governor Joe Garcia and many other high profile leaders in education.

The Colorado Legacy Foundation hosted the 2013 Healthy Schools and Integration Summit on April 17th, which brought together educational leaders and stakeholders throughout the state to learn, promote, and celebrate advancing academic achievement efforts. Bullying Prevention Institute
CLF partners with education, safe school climate, and community organizations to hold statewide Bullying Prevention Institutes. The Institutes provide opportunities for leaders to learn about best practices in bullying prevention, on-the-spot interventions, changes in the Colorado Law, recent federal guidance, measuring school climate, cyberbullying, and creating safe, supportive school climates for diverse students (race/ethnicity, LGBT, and disability). Integration II Announcement
On Monday, November 19th, Governor John Hickenlooper, Lt. Governor Joe Garcia and Dr. Helayne Jones will announce a second stream of funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to support the Colorado Integration Project.
This announcement will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 19th in the West Foyer at the State Capitol.

Legacy Schools Academic Pep Rally
On Saturday, October 6, $17,700 will be awarded to students at half-time of the long time rivalry football game between Mesa Ridge and Widefield High school. These funds will be awarded to students who received qualifying scores on this year’s Advanced Placement exams at Mesa Ridge and Widefield High School.
