Daily Camera: Boulder Valley Awarded Health and Wellness Grant

The Boulder Valley School District on Monday was awarded a two-year, $20,000 grant from the Colorado Legacy Foundation to increase participation in its school lunch program.

Altogether, the Colorado Legacy Foundation awarded $222,500 to 13 school districts and one charter school as part of the foundation’s School Health and Wellness Initiative. Participating districts will promote health and wellness efforts that include increased consumption of fruits and vegetables, healthy snack alternatives and increased physical activity.
