This video is fantastic! The idea of using video games as teaching tools is an innovative and adaptive approach to learning in the 21st Century! This Expanded Learning Opportunities video has me thinking about other non-conventional learning environments. What if we provided lectures to students through a video format and required the lessons to be viewed as homework, then used the classroom time for project-based, experiential learning practices? The educator could require the students to come in with one question derived from the lecture and spend the classroom time answering questions in an individualized, one-on-one structure.

What an inspirational message that needs to be shared with teachers, students, parents and community members. Thanks to The Legacy Foundation for leading the way to a new way of thinking about how we educate our children.

I love the message in this video! And the tone, and the energy, and the sincerity of it all.

I saw this video today at the Statewide Education Action Conference. I wanted to jump out of my seat and scream, “FINALLY… WE ARE GETTING IT!!!!”
This speaks to my hopes, dreams and passion for educational reform. I give passionately to my students and teachers every day, but I know that I am doing it in a system that DOES not work or meet their individual needs. Let the future of public education begin NOW and let the ELO movement bring us there!

I LOVE the message this video sends. These types of things make me want to yell and scream and try something new! But how do we actually get other teachers out of their chairs and willing to try some of these new ideas?!?!
